Our lower school playground with our fleet of bikes and trikes lined up for another busy day.Our lower school playground with our fleet of bikes and trikes lined up for another busy day.Welcome to Darley Primary School!

On behalf of the staff, pupils and local community may I wish you a warm welcome to Darley Primary School. We are very proud of our school and are delighted that our most recent Ofsted inspection (May 2016) recognised that:

"Pupils' behavior in and around school is outstanding and contributes to the very positive day-to-day experiences of pupils and their parents.  Consequently, pupils attend very well and speak very highly of their time at the school".

We work hard to ensure that our school is a safe (see 'Keeping Children Safe' document)  and inclusive place to work and learn and all children and adults within the school are encouraged to be the best that they can be.

This website will give you a flavour of school life and the wonderful learning opportunities that take place; we are committed to providing a high standard of education to enable all our children to achieve their potential within a stunning location.  We are determined to provide a creative and stimulating curriculum where our children are inspired to learn and to develop a love of life-long learning. We provide opportunities for our children to develop their skills in all areas to enrich their whole learning experience.

Our School is a full strategic member of the Harrogate and Rural Teaching School Alliance as well as having very close links with the Nidderdale schools who all work collaboratively to improve outcomes for children.

As a school we believe in developing a self-improving, self-sustaining school system to ensure that all our stakeholders realise their potential.

From 1st - 28th February 2017 local members of the community will be formally consulted on the amalgamation of Darley Pre-School into the school.  The school is working in partnership with the Pre-School with the intended amalgamation resulting in the change of age range at the school as we hope to offer places for all eligible 2 year olds and 3 and 4 year olds from September 2017 for up to 30 hours per week.  Click here for a copy of the formal consultation document.

Summerbridge Community Primary SchoolOur school also works closely with Summerbridge Community Primary School and the two schools will formally federate in the Spring of 2017.  Nick Coates is the executive head of both schools and spends equal amounts of time in both schools during the week.  To read a copy of the federation consultation document click here!  For further information about Summerbridge School click on the link to the left.
