On behalf of the staff, pupils and local community may I wish you a warm welcome to Darley and Summerbridge  Primary School Federation, part of Yorkshire Collaborative Academy Trust.

This website will give you a flavour of our federation and the wonderful learning opportunities that take place; we are committed to providing a high standard of education to enable all our children to achieve their potential within the stunning local area of Nidderdale.  We are proud of our small schools and what we have to offer and are members of the National Association of Small Schools.

We provide a creative and stimulating curriculum where our children are inspired to learn and to develop a love of life-long learning. Children are provided with opportunities to develop their skills in all areas to enrich their whole learning experience.

Our federation provides secure and safe learning environments where everyone is valued.  Our priorities are simple yet effective: ‘Keep me safe, make me happy, help me learn’ are values that all stakeholders promote.  As such,  all children and adults are supported and encouraged to grow in confidence to achieve their true potential.

I wish you a long and happy relationship with our federation.

Our school’s ethos has developed and evolved historically over time and is based upon the simple yet effective beliefs that are: “Keep me safe, make me happy, help me learn”.

The school is well supported locally and attracts children who also live outside the official catchment area. It is on the local bus route although many of our children walk to school. Safety and safeguarding is our absolute priority in school and we adhere to the guidance set out in the DfE document KCSIE_2021_September

The school building is situated in attractive gardens and has grassed areas and a substantial rear playground for the children. The building has a large central hall, three classrooms, a library, study room, staff room, office, headteacher’s office and a two store rooms.  School lunches are cooked in the well equipped kitchen.

We are extremely proud of all that goes on here. We hope you enjoy your visit to our website and capture what our school and staff have to offer. The children at Summerbridge are supported in their learning by dedicated staff, governors and parents.
